The Fits-Your-Pet Guarantee
Pet gear goes wrong on one thing: fit. So that's the one thing we put in writing. Measure your pet our way, order the size our chart returns, and if it doesn't fit we make it right — free.
Guaranteed fit
What qualifies: any item marked Fits-your-pet guaranteed — 21 items today. These are the ones whose maker size chart we've digitized into real measurement ranges.
The promise: measure your pet with our method (chest girth, neck, body length — to the skin, not the coat), order the size the chart returns for your number, and if it doesn't fit we cover a free exchange or a full refund. The guarantee is anchored to your measurement, not to your breed — a breed range is only a starting guess.
Honest sizing
What qualifies: items marked Estimated sizing — sized gear whose exact chart we haven't digitized yet. We show the measurement that matters and the maker's guidance, labelled estimated.
The promise: honest sizing help and our standard 30-day return — but not the measured fit guarantee, because we can't yet stand behind an exact size for these. We'd rather tell you that than pretend.
Why we anchor to measurement, not breed
A breed is a range, not your pet — two Labs can be 20 lb apart. Our breed pages give a typical starting size, but every guarantee is tied to the number you measure. That's the honest line, and it's why the sizing tool asks you to measure before it recommends a size to buy.
What we do not claim
We never invent a safety promise. “Escape-proof”, “crash-tested”, “airline-approved” and “IATA” are relayed only when a maker or an airline states them — with a link — and we verify airline in-cabin fit against the airline's own published under-seat rule (last checked 2026-07-02), not a marketing badge. A correctly sized harness lowers escape risk; it is not a containment guarantee.
How a return works
Email support@measuredpet.com with your order number and the measurement you took. For a guaranteed-fit item that didn't fit, we arrange a free exchange for the right size or a full refund. Returns are handled by a real person — no bots, no runaround.
This guarantee covers fit. It doesn't cover normal wear, chew damage, or a size bought against our advice (e.g. from a breed guess without measuring). Ships to US addresses.
